Well so far my day has been quite interesting, I woke up to the sounds of snowplows and looked outside and saw a bobcat and truck with a large plow on it plowing away all the snow, I felt relieved because that meant I wouldn’t have to go outside and shovel all of that snow, I mean it was like a foot deep!

So I slumped out of bed into some jeans and a t-shirt, dropped the kids of at the pool, watered the lawn, and brushed my teeth, I made my way out to the kitchen, I was thirsty so I poured myself a large glass of 2% milk, I LOVE MILK, drank it all like in 1 minute… ahhh so good.

I arrived at my computer, checking my e-mail while still listening for my daughter Aurora to wake up, my wife emerged from the bathroom looking pretty hot for a business woman I might add, and continued to put on her coat, we said our goodbyes and she shuffled out to the garage.

Next thing I hear is “Sean!” I’m like now what? she yells “they did a real shitty job plowing this morning!”, she also asked me if I would shovel later and I said ok… a few minutes later she calls me and says “I’m stuck” I’m like wtfgrrbbqsauce, I tell her I’ll be right down, so I grabbed my jacket, threw on some boots, and made my way into the garage, lo and behold pure poop was a way to sum up their plowing job, so I get outside the snow is so deep she can’t even open the drivers side door hence the reason she called me.

Here I am freezing my butt off, shoveling thru several feet of snow to get this damn car out so she could go to work, I get enough snow out of the way for my wife to get out just in case I need to get in and do some abrasive maneuvers, to get the car out.

My neighbor opens her garage door and she was smart and had her car facing outwards, which is something I should have done the night before but I was lucky to even get in the garage as it was, anyways so she starts to shovel her way out as well because not only did they not do their job right they didn’t even plow our driveways, after she is done with her side she lends me a hand and starts to shovel from the front of my tire while I shovel from the back, we finally give enough leeway to free the tire from the hard packed snow.

So here we go, I get in and start my Minnesota heritage “getting the car out of snow” maneuvers, I get it in a position to make a long run threw the snow, no go I jammed the car into more snow I didn’t even see before… another neighbor stopped by and helped us make a nice rut to have the car slide threw and finally I was able to get it out, signaled the wife to get in and our job was done.

I thanked my neighbors for helping us and went back inside and started to get Aurora up and ready for the day, so that is what happened so far, I’ll post a little slide show of all the snow that was in my way, so look at these and while my day progresses I’ll add more to today’s blog.
